When I was in Mexico last spring, I drank a whole lot of this Jack-and-Coke-in-a-can beverage that was actually a very good approximation of the weak-ish Jack and Cokes served in most bars. You can buy it at the gas station for about a dollar (two dollars in more expensive areas), then take it on overnight buses...
